Standard mud kitchens have long been a popular choice for outdoor play, but as parents ourselves, we recognized a few areas where improvements could be made. Here are the key problems we identified and addressed in the development of the GROWGO mud kitchen:

Limited versatility

Traditional mud kitchens often lack versatility, offering only a single purpose or two. No running water

Most mud kitchens only have a simple water container without a tap, and others do not feature water at all! In the mud pies business, this is a real drawback. We made sure to include a working water tap for convenient use and as an introduction to household appliances.

Not durable enough

Many standard mud kitchens on the market are made from materials that struggle to withstand the elements, or they're all plastic and bad for the environment. We understand the importance of creating a playset that could endure outdoor conditions, so we crafted our GROWGO mud kitchen with longevity in mind. This toy grows with the child, so it must last!

Lacking realistic features

While many mud kitchens offer imaginative play opportunities, we believe that incorporating realistic elements could enhance the overall experience and teach kids about households. In designing the GROWGO mud kitchen, we drew inspiration from the Montessori philosophy and its emphasis on hands-on learning and child-led exploration. This mud kitchen is perfectly suited for children ranging from 3 to 7 years old, although kids under 3 years old can joy in on the fun with their older siblings.For younger children, the mud kitchen serves as an exciting sensory exploration station, introducing them to different textures, colors, and the joy of splashing in the water. As they grow, they can progress to basic pretend play. Older children, usually aged 5 to 7, can further expand their imaginative play scenarios, diving into role-playing as chefs, restaurant owners, or entrepreneurs running their own grocery stores. They can delve deeper into the world of ratios and measurements, experimenting with mud and water to create unique concoctions.

Not only will it grow with the child, but this toy is also an ideal choice for families with siblings of different ages. Its versatility and range of play options allow children of various developmental stages to engage in meaningful play experiences.
